Working from home can sound like an attractive option wherever you live.
Work when you want, be around to pick the kids up from school, no more long journeys to work in trafic jams. It sounds too good to be true - but is it possible?

Do you give up the day job and work for yourself or do you try and do your normal job from home?
A lot depends on the flexibility of your employer and your bravery and confidence.
Some ideas for earning money from home are shown below:- try them out before you give up the day job.

Web Site Affiliate Schemes :

Franchising might be worth considering if you want to go into business yourself.

Income Tax
If you are self employed and working from home - you will need to sort out your Tax. Some people use accountants - some do it themselves.

Expenses - You can offset expenses such as heating bills, mortgage or rent costs against income from your self employment.
A reasonable method would be to calculate the proportion of the house that you use for work - ie - if you use one tenth of the house as a daytime office - then it would be reasonable to treat one tenth of the heating / electricity / mortgage as busines expenses.
