Work permits are isued to recognised third level institutions for researchers and academics from non-EEA countries. Unlike "normal" jobs - the institutions do not need to advertise the jobs with FAS. A letter of support must be submitted with the application from the President's Office of the third level institution in question.
The recognised third level institutions are
D.C.U. (Dublin City University)
U.C.D. (University College Dublin)
University of Dublin (Trinity College)
National University of Ireland Maynooth
U.C.C. (University College Cork)
U.C.G. (University College Galway)
University of Limerick
