Donegal is perched on the north western corner of Ireland, with a stunning
coastline with sandy beaches, dramatic cliffs and peninsulas. House prices
in Donegal are among the cheapest in Ireland.

Prices fell by 11%in 2010 , an improvement on the 19% drop in 2009. Agents
report that a large number of homeowners have been forced to sell as they
cannot meet their mortgage repayments. Many have had to let out their
homes — a trend that has led to rental supply outstripping demand, which
has caused values to fall even further.
New two-bedroom apartments and second-hand three-bedroom townhouses have
shouldered the biggest losses — the former is down 15% to €102,000 and
the latter is down 12% to €110,000. Rural properties have slumped too.
Three-bedroom bungalows are down 11% to €155,000.
Donegal covers an area of 1,876 square miles and is home to over 130,000
people. County Donegal has some of Ireland's most beautiful and unspoiled
landscape as well as excellent angling and salmon fishing and first class
golf.
